Our Methodology
WordTech International doesn't simply imitate the standard services provided by conventional translation companies, we innovate them. We adopt not only the best practices in the industry, we constantly strive to improve and innovate these practices, keeping pace with the rapidly evolving global marketplace.

WordTech International always uses our reasonable endeavours to ensure that sufficient resources are put in place where reasonably practicable to provide the translation, editing, proofreading, LE, and DTP services and meet client's timeline and deadlines contained in Work Requests. WordTech International takes a random sample of within 2% of all the work translated for clients in any given period and has this assessed by an independent reviewer. The reviewer will record the number of source words that fall into any of the following seven error categories:
● Omitted words
Omitted sentences
Spelling errors
Punctuation errors
Grammatical errors
Incorrect or inconsistent translation of a word or sentence
Terminology error (only where an approved glossary has been used)
DTP layout / settings / template
Engineering screenshots / UI file handling

Fast response is an important factor which distinguishes WordTech International from other language and globalization service agencies. We always meet the client's expectation for quick turn around and fast response. If the translation work is deemed unsatisfactory by clients, we will start the correction within 24 hours upon the reject and deliver the final satisfactory translation before the deadline set by the client. In addition, we will investigate the root causes and submit a RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to the client to explain why the translation is not "good" and how we are going to improve it. We will investigate from several perspectives such as project management, translator management, TM management, tool selection and validation, and overall translation process management, among others. The goal is to explain current process, highlight where issues occurred and where enhancement need made.

Project activities are planned according to our established and proven language service methodology. WordTech International planning activities require us to denote all inter-dependencies of the activities, as well as all resource constraints (we maintain awareness of resource usage thresholds across the company at all times). Specifically, our project planning includes in-depth analysis of each of the following factors:
● Scope/Objectives/Goals
● Project Organization
● Task Definition
● Schedule
● Cost
● Resource Requirements
● Risk Analysis and Risk Reduction
● Training
● Project Constraints
● Quality Assurance
● Configuration Management
● Security
● Timetable

We break each task down into manageable timeframes of 1- to 2 (person) days. Sub-tasks are then built back up to create an aggregated, interdependent project schedule. The schedule, resources, risks, and other factors [above] are combined into a master project-plan document that the team can execute.

Our project management procedure in detail is as follows:
1、Identify the project manager
PMO identifies the skilled employee most suitable for managing all work necessary to accomplish the client's project objectives as Project Manager (PM). We have PMP certified Project Managers, and the PM selected must have received Project Management Core training. This individual will adhere to the PM Guide for the duration of the project.

2、Initiation
The PM, with the support of line management, defines the project objectives, identifies key stakeholders, and conducts preliminary efforts needed to establish and operate the project.

The project activities are as follows:
a. Establish the project or phase.
b. Determine initial customer needs and requirements.
c. Determine what processes will be required to satisfy the client's requirements.
d. Document management and team responsibilities.

3、Planning
The PM and project team members document a reasonable approach for performing and managing the project. The activities are as follows.
e. Define and Confirm Project Requirements.
f. Define Schedule and Costs.
g. Identify the Quality Approach.
h. Organize Staff.
i. Identify Risks.
j. Detail Plans.

4、Execution
The PM and project team members develop and implement a solution that integrates all appropriate linguistic and engineering efforts to produce a successful service, effectively and efficiently.
k. Carry out the Plan: Design the service solution; perform the service. Review the design and workflow for defects. Evaluate the solution for conformance to requirements.
l. Select and Administer Procurements: Acquire outside products, licenses, or contractor support. Administer outside support.
m. Cultivate Teamwork: Acquire staff members for the project team. Build teamwork among all team members. Obtain needed training.
n. Verify Service Quality: Implement appropriate QA methods to objectively verify that the service meets requirements. Report work results.

3、Control
The PM and project team members provide adequate visibility into actual project progress to allow effective management action when the project's performance deviates significantly from the project's plans. This function is performed simultaneously with the Execution function and may require a return to the Planning function.
o. Measure Project Performance.
p. Manage Requirements and Configurations.
q. Control Project Scope and Characteristics.
r. Manage PMS and Document Configurations.
s. Take Corrective Action.
t. Report Performance Information.

6、Closeout
The PM and project team members formally end the project or phase and bring it to an orderly end, provide the completed product or service to the users, and provide on-going support and training throughout the product or service's life.
